This place is awesome for residents that need to dump a little extra. For Plano residents it's included in your trash pickup. You can't bring box trucks or do commercial dumping, but I was able to get rid of mattresses, boxes, extra trash that would not fit in my weekly pickup. Plus, my 6 year old son liked watching the dump trucks and tractors pushing all the trash away.

Been using this facility for years.
household trash & leaf/brush disposal. Different areas for both.
Great people & process flow.
Monthly utility bill required- can go 2x mos
Be prepared- it’s always busy; moves fast
They're very helpful here, very efficient. It wasn't clearly marked but you can drive around any municipal garbage trucks in line if you have household trash or yard waste. You need a water bill and id to show residency and they charge extra if you have what they consider "construction waste" such as lumber scrap.
We have used this site many times for yard trimmings. All was great. But if you have remodeling trash, you have to weigh and pay. That's not so bad, but when you pay with card, they hold the card and you have to get back in the long long line and weigh again, to get your card. No exceptions. Gotta be very way.
I don’t understand why they charge me $62 minimum in this place while in Garland and Rowlett they charge $27. I literally live across the street from them but if I have time, I will go to garland. I believe this is an organization to make money. I don’t think residents matter at all.
Every year, I have a huge garden. I buy Texas Pure compost and Top dressing for my lawns, flower beds, and garden. Every year, it seems as though the quality goes down. This year, I have found 13 red coffee stirrers, 4 rubber bands, and countless pieces of plastic in my mixes.
All the people who work there are very nice and are very helpful.
Their system of weigh in and weigh out is horrible. Ridiculously long wait, (twice!!) especially if you’re a resident who’s job is not to sit in a truck all day.
Very fast and efficient way to dump off some things you didn't want to have anymore! They took my old mattresses! I know they changed the rules in last couple years about household waste some of it has to go out to Melissa!
